以存股聞名的理財作者陳重銘，經常在各媒體分享投資心法，同時他以3個孩子父親的身分，呼籲父母們應重視親子理財教育，陳重銘擔任《孩子，我們來談錢》一書推薦人，在Podcast節目中，暢談父母理財觀的誤區與實際可調整的作法，建議從小孩幼稚園開始，就積極教導正確理財觀。
「如果按照以前的觀念（教導），小孩將來只是辛苦地活著！」不敗（Buy）教主陳重銘以自己為例，因過去年代窮苦，擔任公務員相對更加穩定、有前途，所以不論是自己的父母或岳父母，都期望他能進入學校任教，他因此當了一段時間「流浪教師」，他直言，這是過去的經驗投射，並無對錯，但若家長仍舊認為「萬般皆下品，唯有讀書高」，下一代將難以面對變化多端、嚴重通膨的世界。
陳重銘指出多數父母、成年人金錢觀常有以下幾項謬誤：
１.用金錢彌補親情
現代有許多雙薪家庭，父母皆忙於工作難以抽空陪伴，為彌補心中愧疚，因此讓孩子予取予求；但陳重銘認為用這樣的方式，容易讓小孩對金錢的認知只停留在「滿足需求享樂」階段，沒辦法更進一步看到「用錢賺錢」的價值。
２.讀書，只為了找到好工作
「讀書是為了什麼？」陳重銘表示，至今仍有許多人緊循著「有好成績、找到好工作、有份好收入」的路徑。他坦言，自己任教20年來見過無數學生，並非每個學生都有讀書天分，也並非人人都能找到高收入工作。
「當孩子出了社會，工作時間長、收入少，父母可以幫忙什麼？」因為身為父親的憂慮，陳重銘從小幫女兒存股票，20年過去迄今累積2千萬元資產；當疫情來襲，許多人失業、愁煩找不到工作，女兒卻能在此時選擇離職轉換跑道，依靠的就是這份資產帶來的選擇性。他強調，投資最重要的因子是「時間」，孩子最大的財富就是「時間」，在成長過程，至少有長達20年的雪球跑道可幫孩子滾出資產。
３.努力工作才有收入
台灣不論家庭、學校教育，財商教育始終不足，陳重銘認為，對老師與家長而言，為難之處在於多數人的收入來源屬於「主動收入」，需付出能力、勞力才能獲得薪水，一輩子靠勞務所賺的錢實在有限，但又難以跳脫循環。因此，孩子難有更廣闊視野，了解這世界有不同生活方式，如何建立被動收入，讓人生有更多選擇權。

陳重銘建議，親子理財首重親子互動，鼓勵家長先學習掌握理財知識，「學習永遠不嫌晚！」從孩子小的時候，循序漸進建立其金錢價值觀，首先引導小孩學會存錢觀念，隨年紀漸長逐步參與資產建立過程，例如：透過查看銀行存摺與股票存摺，認知利息與股利之間的差異；同時學習將金錢價值最大化。他舉例，同樣是300元，可以拿去吃一餐，也能看一場電影快樂2小時；但如果用300元買一本書，或許書當中一段話就能帶來人生改變。
「投資自己！」陳重銘強調，父母跟孩子談錢，建議透過閱讀財經知識充實財商內涵，就能透過身教、言教，趁早為孩子種下一棵搖錢樹，讓孩子了解金錢的工具價值，為孩子翻轉不一樣的人生！
